Doug serves as an Executive Advisor, Co-Investor and Board Director for KKR's Healthcare, Technology, Financial Services and Retail teams.
Doug is a member of the Board of Directors and Audit Committee of KKR-backed Therapy Brands and a member of the Board of Directors of KKR-backed 123Dentist.
Doug is an investor in and served as Founding CEO and a Member of the Board of Directors of Zelis, a mid-cap healthcare and financial technology growth company and market-leading provider of integrated network analytics, network solutions, payment integrity, electronic payments and claims communications for payers, healthcare providers and consumers in the medical, dental and workers' compensation markets nationwide. Zelis serves 700 healthcare payers, driving $27 BB in claim cost savings, providing network access to 1.5 MM providers, delivering $50 BB of payments to 700,000 providers and providing 500 MM payment data communications annually. Zelis is privately-held and backed by Parthenon Capital Partners and Bain Capital.
Doug served as a member of the Board of Directors of Zintro, WebVet and MedCommons and the Advisory Board of Humantelligence, Biorasi, Personforce, iAMscientist, Anthurium Solutions and Mi8 Corporation.
Doug served as President Health & Wellness for Sears Holdings Corporation, leading digital and in-store health & wellness businesses for controlling shareholder Edward S. Lampert, Chairman & CEO of Sears Holdings and activist hedge fund ESL Investments. Sears Holdings is the #4 broadline retailer in the U.S., with 1700 stores and leading eCommerce sites serving more than 100 million Americans.
Doug served as CEO of LifeCare, Inc., the #1 provider of employer-sponsored personal assistance services, serving 70 MM members through more than 61,000 private and public-sector employers, delivering content, provider matching and discounted products and services in the child care, senior care, legal and financial services, travel services, home services, wellness and well-being categories.
Doug served as President of Monster North America for Monster Worldwide, a leading global internet media and enterprise software company. Doug led Monster.com - the #1 career site in the world, Monster.ca - the #2 career site in Canada, Monster Government Solutions - the #1 provider of public sector recruiting solutions and Monster’s HR Enterprise Software businesses.
Doug served as President of Cigna Health Services, leading a $6 BB group of specialty healthcare companies and Cigna's healthplan medical management operation. He served as Executive Chairman of Intracorp, Cigna Pharmacy Management, Tel-Drug, Cigna Dental Health, Cigna Behavioral Health, Inc., Cigna Vision Care and Cigna Information Management. These companies were engaged in medical management, disease management, wellness, workers' compensation and disability managed care, pharmacy benefit management, mail order prescription drugs, dental care, behavioral health, employee assistance, vision care and clinical informatics.
Doug served as CEO of Cigna Dental Health, Inc. and as Senior Vice President of Cigna Retirement & Investment Services leading 401(k), pension and discount securities brokerage businesses.
Before Cigna, Doug served as a Managing Director of PNC's global investment management and mutual funds businesses and served as a Corporate Banker in PNC's Financial Institutions Group.
