Shelley Shaw has worked in the digital marketing, graphic design, and illustration fields since 2010. Shelley began as a Freelance Designer and Illustrator in 2010, and has since published two books. In 2013, they worked as a Graphic Designer for the New England Confectionery Company, Inc. (Necco). From 2015-2018, they worked as Office Manager and Executive Assistant for the National Museum of American Illustration. In 2018, they became Digital Marketing Director and Senior Graphic Designer for BedJet. From 2010-2012, they worked as a Designer and Illustrator for the University of Notre Dame, and as a Lead Designer and Illustrator for Prospero's Pen Games. From 2010-2013, they were a Graduate Student at the Rochester Institute of Technology, and a Class Rep for 1st-Year SoFA Grad Students. In 2012, they were a Freelance Graphic Designer for Premier Skating Academy. In 2008, they were a Graphic Design Summer Intern for the U.S. Naval War College. Finally, in 2007, they were a BFA Student at the University of Notre Dame, where they presented a BFA thesis project in the Snite Museum of Art.
Shelley Shaw began their educational journey in 2006, when they attended the University of Connecticut and studied Animal Science and Equine Studies. In 2007, they transferred to the University of Notre Dame, where they earned a BFA in Graphic Design in 2010. Shelley then attended the Rochester Institute of Technology, where they earned an MFA in Computer Graphics Design (with a motion graphics and interactive design specialty) in 2013. In 2019, they returned to school and is currently enrolled at Bristol Community College, where they are pursuing an Associate of Science in Deaf Studies: ASL-English Interpreting.
