Vicky Head has a range of experience in public health and research. Vicky is currently serving as the Director of Public Health at Bedford Borough Council, a position they have held since November 2020. Prior to this, they worked as a Public Health Consultant at the same council from January 2019 to November 2020. Before joining Bedford Borough Council, Vicky worked at the NHS as a Specialty Registrar in Public Health from August 2011 to January 2019. Vicky also gained experience at Cambridgeshire County Council, where they held roles as a Research Manager - Demography from September 2007 to August 2011, and as a Senior Research Officer / Research Officer from December 2001 to September 2007.

Vicky Head obtained a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) degree in Geographical Research from the University of Cambridge in 2006-2007. Prior to that, they completed their MA degree in Biological Anthropology from the same university during the period of 1998-2001.
