Yoni Weiss, MD MBA, has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Yoni is currently the VP of Clinical Development at Beckley Psytech since 2022. Prior to this, they held the same role at Eleusis from 2021 until its acquisition by Beckley Psytech in 2022. At Eleusis, Yoni was responsible for the clinical development strategy and execution of various programs, with a focus on Major Depressive Disorder and other psychiatric indications.
Before joining Eleusis, Yoni worked as an aMoon Fellow at aMoon Fund from 2020 to 2021. Yoni was also the Chief Medical Officer at Regenera Pharma from 2018 to 2020. In this role, they had overall strategic responsibility for clinical and regulatory aspects of various programs, including studies in Neuro-Ophthalmology, Alzheimer's disease, and subacute stroke recovery.
Yoni's career includes a role as a Co-Founder at TG Ventures, a family office Venture Capital focusing on seed and Series A investments, from 2011 to 2017. Yoni was also a Clinical Leader in the Neurology Group at Teva Pharmaceuticals from 2006 to 2011, where they managed global clinical trials in various neurological indications. Additionally, they worked as an Associate Medical Director at Taro Pharmaceuticals in Israel from 2003 to 2006.
Throughout their career, Yoni has built strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), managed clinical advisory boards, engaged in regulatory submissions, and collaborated with vendors and consultants. Yoni has extensive experience in early to mid-stage phase 1 and 2 clinical programs, as well as a wide range of therapeutic indications.
Yoni Weiss, MD MBA, completed their education at various reputable institutions. Yoni first attended Maimonides High School from 1988 to 1992, where they obtained their secondary education. From there, they went on to pursue a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology at the University of Pennsylvania from 1992 to 1996. Yoni then enrolled at UMass Chan Medical School, where they obtained their MD degree in Medicine, studying from 1996 to 2000. Later, they attended Columbia Business School from 2002 to 2003, earning an MBA with a specialization in Finance.
