Brian Flores-Torres, MEd has a diverse work experience. Starting in 2015, they worked as a Second-Level Parking Enforcement Officer at Portland State University, where they monitored parking structures and communicated with office administrators and security. Brian also worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Peer Mentor, collaborating with professors to establish lesson plans, assist students with assignments, and facilitate discussions on course content and social issues. In 2018, Brian volunteered at Barnes Elementary School and Benson Polytechnic Mathematics class, conducting field observations, tutoring students, and coordinating with teachers. Additionally, they interned as an IT Specialist at Pacific University, gaining experience in computer troubleshooting and client communication. Currently, they are employed as a Mathematics Teacher at Beaverton School District, implementing teaching standards and strategies for diverse communities.
Brian Flores-Torres, MEd began their education journey in 2015 by enrolling at Portland State University. From 2015 to 2020, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics. Continuing their academic pursuits, Brian pursued a Master of Education degree with a specialization in Secondary Education and Teaching from 2020 to 2022 at Portland State University.
