Soojin Shim has extensive work experience in various design roles. They started their career as a Lead Stage Designer at CJ E&M, where they designed stage sets for television programs and visual designs for music award shows. They then worked as a UX Designer at JPMorgan Chase & Co., where they focused on designing future digital/physical banking experiences. After that, they joined the Volkswagen Group of America Innovation and Engineering Center California (IECC) as a UX Designer, where they worked on designing prototypes for self-driving vehicles and mobility services. Most recently, Soojin served as the Head of Product and Sr. UX Designer at Bear Robotics, Inc., where they proposed the overall vision and spearheaded the product strategy for self-driving robots, designed user experiences for robot operating systems, and diversified the company's product lines. They have a strong background in UX/UI design, prototyping, user research, and concept development.
Soojin Shim holds a Master's degree (M.Des) in Interaction Design from California College of the Arts. Soojin also obtained a Bachelor's degree in Fine/Studio Arts, General from Seoul National University. Prior to that, they attended Seoul Arts High School, where they focused on Design and Drawing.
