Dave Thal has a strong background in software development and a passion for implementing agile practices. Starting their career as the Director of Software Engineering at CombiMatrix Corporation, they were responsible for overseeing software development activities.

Dave then worked as a Consultant at Agilent Technologies, where they installed agile software development practices and served as the chief architect for an undisclosed WPF software application.

Dave also has experience as a Consultant at Helixis / Illumina, where they implemented a new analysis method for real-time PCR using C# .NET C++ WinForms.

At Invensys Operations Management, they worked as a Consultant and technical lead for a 20-30 developer team, developing a multi-client WPF simulator application. Dave also coached and evangelized TDD and Agile practices.

Dave served as a Senior Staff Software Engineer at Illumina, where they developed a DNA sequencing application and promoted TDD and Agile practices.

As the Founder of Noisy Keys, they established their own company from 2010 to 2012.

At Idiogen, Dave developed applications for cancer patients to find and monitor the recruiting status of clinical trials. Dave also developed a web application and cloud-based back-end services using Google App Engine and Google Cloud Platform services.

In their most recent role as the Director of Product Development at BeanStock Ventures, Dave was responsible for all software development activities. Dave developed an agile software product development process that aligns agile best practices with medical device regulatory requirements.

Dave Thal attended UC San Diego from 1986 to 1991, earning a Dual B.A. degree in Computer Science, Quantitative Economics, and the Decision Sciences.
