Patrick McDonnell is an experienced engineering leader with a strong background in software development and team management. Currently serving as the Director of Engineering at Beamery since May 2022, Patrick oversees the "Talent Experience" group focused on enhancing candidate experiences. Previously, Patrick held the position of Group Engineering Manager at FreeAgent, directing engineering efforts within the Accounting group. Additional roles include Software Engineering Manager at Findmypast and IT Team Lead at the Medicines Monitoring Unit, University of Dundee, among others. Patrick's expertise spans a variety of technologies including Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, and C#, alongside a proactive approach to coaching and mentoring engineering teams. Patrick earned a 2:1 (Hons) BSc in Computer Science from the University of Stirling.
