Marta Bell has extensive experience in advocating for victims of domestic violence and providing education and support. Currently serving as a Victim Advocate at Beacon of Hope since March 2014, Marta is involved in empowering victims through a Christ-centered approach. Concurrently, Marta advocates at Beacon of Hope Center for Women, Inc. and has contributed to the Teen Talk outreach program aimed at youth ages 11-17. Previously, Marta worked as a Domestic Violence Consultant at One Voice Many Faces, developing strategies to shift perceptions and responses to domestic violence from October 2012 to 2014. Marta spent 29 years with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, culminating as a Domestic Violence Detective, where over 5,000 cases were investigated. Marta holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement Administration from Indiana University Bloomington.
