David Laurin has extensive work experience in firmware engineering and software development. David is currently working as the Principal Firmware Engineer at Beacon Biosignals since April 2022. Prior to this, they held the same position at AgaMatrix starting from November 2014.
David also has experience as a Consultant at Tri-Star Design, Inc. where they implemented firmware for various projects, including streaming microphone array data for gunfire detection and direction, as well as developing firmware for a module that paired with an iPhone and included functions like control and bio-metric scanning. David worked at Tri-Star Design, Inc. from September 2014 to November 2014.
Before that, David worked as a Senior Principal Software Engineer at Aspect Software from January 2012 to April 2014, and as a Principal Software Engineer from December 2004 to January 2011, also at Aspect Software. David held the position of Senior Firmware Engineer at 3Com from February 2004 to December 2004.
Prior to that, David worked as a Senior Diagnostic Engineer at Alcatel Microelectronics from August 1999 to January 2004, and as a Senior Firmware Engineer at Lucent Technologies from January 1997 to August 1999. David began their career as an Embedded Software Engineer at VideoServer from January 1992 to December 1997.
David Laurin attended Mount Washington College from 1984 to 1986, where they pursued an Associate of Science degree in Digital Electronics. Afterwards, from 1987 to 1989, they studied at Daniel Webster College, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.
