Ariane Chapelle is a highly experienced professional in risk management, currently serving as a Partner at BDO Belgium since October 2022. With a robust academic background, Ariane held the position of Honorary Reader at University College London until March 2023, teaching operational risk measurement. Ariane's extensive career includes leadership roles such as Managing Partner at Chapelle from 2006 to 2022, where advisory and training services were provided across various countries. As a member of the Editorial Board for the Journal of Operational Risk and a columnist for Incisive Media's Operational Risk and Regulation, Ariane has contributed significantly to the field. Additional expertise includes advisory work for the International Monetary Fund, chairing the Sound Practice Guidance Committee for the Institute of Operational Risk, and previous academic roles at Université Libre de Bruxelles. Ariane’s educational achievements include a PhD in Economics and multiple master's degrees in Econometrics and Management Science from Université libre de Bruxelles and Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management.
