Kathleen Tan is an experienced educator with a robust background in elementary education and advocacy for students with special needs. Currently serving as a First Grade Teacher at Buckingham Browne & Nichols School since December 2020, Kathleen utilizes various instructional methods including Wilson® Fundations Reading and Lucy Caulkins Writer’s Workshop, while also mentoring interns. Prior to this role, Kathleen worked as a Personalized Learning Facilitator at Heart for Learning during the pandemic, supporting online education for elementary students. Kathleen has extensive experience with the Federation for Students with Special Needs, serving as a Parent Advocate Volunteer, and previously held positions at Inly School and Promethean, where skills in personalized instruction and educational consulting were developed. Kathleen holds a Master’s degree in Curriculum Design and Instruction from Lesley University.
