Amani Abu-Shakra is an experienced educator and board member for the New England Arabic Teachers Council since September 2023, dedicated to organizing professional development for K-16 Arabic teachers. Amani has been a member of the Admission Committee and Senior Spring Project Coordinator at Buckingham Browne & Nichols School since September 2012, leading a capstone project for seniors and teaching Arabic to high school students. In addition, Amani serves as a faculty advisor for clubs focused on diversity, inclusion, and environmental awareness, and has contributed to various committees addressing educational and community initiatives. Amani's prior experience includes roles as Assistant Director and Lead Instructor at Boston University's Startalk Arabic Teacher Professional Development Program and Program Officer at the Fulbright Commission in Jordan. Amani holds advanced degrees from Boston University and the University of Jordan, along with a Bachelor of Science in Human Resources Management from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
