Jillian Byrne has extensive experience in research and policy within the government and academic sectors. Currently serving as the Acting Director and previously as Assistant Director and Senior Policy Analyst at the Government of Alberta since May 2019, Jillian also holds the position of Adjunct Professor at the University of Alberta since December 2020. Prior academic roles include Director of Clinical Research at the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry at the University of Alberta from October 2016 to May 2019. Earlier in their career, Jillian worked as a Front Desk Receptionist at Remax Excellence from October 2008 to October 2011. Jillian Byrne earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Pediatrics from the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry at the University of Alberta (2012-2016) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Alberta (2007-2012).
