Serge Dorny is an accomplished arts administrator with extensive experience in leadership roles within prominent cultural institutions. Currently serving as General Director of Bayerische Staatsoper since September 2021, prior positions include Director General of Opera National de Lyon from January 2003 to September 2021 and Director General and Artistic Director of the London Philharmonic Orchestra from 1996 to 2003. Additionally, Serge Dorny held the role of Artistic Director at Festival van Vlaanderen Brussel from 1987 to 1996, showcasing a long-standing commitment to the advancement of the performing arts.
