Italo Andres Sanhueza is a seasoned professional in the field of chemistry, currently serving as Product Chemistry Manager at Bayer Crop Science since September 2020. In this global role, Sanhueza is responsible for overseeing all activities related to Product Chemistry for the registration of a defined portfolio of Active Substances, Plant Protection Products, and Formulants. Prior experience includes co-founding Organofuel Sweden AB, where Sanhueza held roles as Advisor and CEO, focusing on high-value products from biomass. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Chemistry from ETH Zürich and an MSc in Chemical Engineering with a specialization in Pharmaceutical Science from Uppsala University. Sanhueza has also contributed to the academic community as a seminar teacher and held various research internships at renowned institutions, demonstrating a robust blend of practical and theoretical expertise in chemistry.
