Eric Norige has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Eric started their career in 1998 as a System Administrator at Truman State University, where they managed server rooms and provided technical support for workstations. After that, they worked as a Locksmith at American Locksmiths, specializing in electronic automotive security systems. Eric also served as an Assistant Lecturer at Mwenge University College of Education, where they taught computer classes and supported IT use on campus.
In 2003, Eric worked as a Computer Consultant at Olympus Industries, where they performed various computer jobs for individuals and small businesses. Eric then took on the role of Collegians Director at Eagle Forum, where they directed the Collegians program.
In 2010, Eric joined Huawei Technologies, Inc as an Intern and played a crucial role in architecting their "Smart Memory" blocks. Eric was involved in the API development, infrastructure, and implementation details of various engines. Later, they joined NetSpeed Systems as a Member of Technical Staff and later promoted as a Principal Engineer, contributing to technical developments in the company.
In 2018, Eric joined Intel Corporation as a Software Engineer and eventually became a Principal Engineer. Eric worked on development tools software and played a significant role in the company's software engineering projects.
Eric's most recent role was at Baya Systems, starting in 2023, where they serve as the Software CTO, overseeing software development and technology strategy.
Throughout their career, Eric has demonstrated expertise in software development, IT support, teaching, and leadership.
Eric Norige obtained their PhD in Computer Science from Michigan State University, which they attended from 2009 to 2017. Prior to that, they earned a degree in Aikido, specifically Shodan, from Three Rivers Aikido, attending from 2001 to 2012. Eric also completed a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts in Math/Computer Science at Truman State University, where they studied from 1997 to 2001.
