Sophie Michel is a Principal Engineer at Baxter International Inc. since January 2022, with a robust background in biocompatibility and medical device assessment. Prior experience includes serving as a Biocompatibility Expert at Nelson Labs, where Sophie specialized in ISO 10993-1 evaluations, biological evaluation plans, and post-marketing assessments. Additionally, Sophie held the role of Study Director, assisting clients in biological evaluation strategies and chemical characterization studies. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Maastricht University, a Master's degree in Material Engineering from Université de Strasbourg, and an Engineering degree in Material Science from ECPM Ecole européenne de chimie polymères et matériaux de Strasbourg.
