Chris Wainwright is a PhD candidate at Griffith University, conducting research in partnership with the youth mental health charity batyr, focusing on the empowerment of young people with lived experience of mental health challenges. In addition to research, Chris serves as a researcher at batyr and teaches English as a second language at the Gold Coast Learning Centre. Voluntary roles include mentoring young entrepreneurs through business plan development with The Prince's Trust and previously facilitating youth development programs to enhance employability skills. Chris has also held various educational roles, including as an associate lecturer at Bath Spa University and as a tutor for learners with additional needs. Chris holds a Master's in International Marketing and a Bachelor's in International Business, with a focus on youth mental health empowerment in the ongoing doctoral studies.
