Jason Vasquez currently serves as a Junior Research and Development Engineer at Sanctuary AI, contributing to the development of human-like intelligence in robots. Jason has also held a Research and Development Co-op position at the American Institute of Mechatronic Engineers (AIME), where responsibilities include serving as a Senior Advisor and organizing combat events. As the Founder of a combat robotics team, Jason secured a $10,000 grant to establish the program and successfully mentored members in building and competing with innovative robots. In addition, Jason has extensive experience at BattleBots, functioning as Lead Designer, Builder, and Operator, and earning recognition as a co-designer for the robot "Whiplash." Other relevant roles include a Robotics Intern at Applied Invention, an Engineering Assistant at Ultra Prototypes, and internships at Meggitt where Jason focused on engineering and operations. Jason holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Advanced Manufacturing & Applied Robotics from California State University, Chico.
