Andrew Hamel is a Bioinformatics Analyst at Battelle National Biodefense Institute, LLC, with a solid background in bioinformatics and biostatistics. Previous roles include Bioinformatics Research Scientist/Analyst at Genentech and Biostatistician at Massachusetts Eye and Ear, where Andrew contributed to significant research on primary open-angle glaucoma by integrating e/sQTLs with GWAS data. Andrew's experience also includes serving as an Americorps Member with City Year, focusing on tutoring and mentoring students, and conducting a Senior Independent Study at The College of Wooster exploring cellular networks in thyroid cancer.
