Timothy McJunkin is a Distinguished Researcher at Idaho National Laboratory, focusing on Power and Energy Research with an emphasis on the resilience of critical infrastructure. With extensive experience since February 2005, Timothy has served as a Senior Research and Design Engineer, leading initiatives in smart grid technology, renewable energy integration, and game-ification research. Timothy also holds an Adjunct Instructor position at Idaho State University, teaching automatic controls and contributing to a multi-university course on resilient control systems. Additionally, Timothy served as Chair of the Eastern Idaho Section of IEEE from 2011 to 2012. Timothy's earlier roles include Principal Engineer at Idaho National Engineering and Environmental Laboratory and Electrical Engineer at Compaq, where key contributions included technical leadership in motherboard design for industry-standard servers. Timothy holds a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Utah State University and is currently pursuing a PhD in Electrical Engineering at the University of Idaho.
