Karen Van Buren has over 35 years of work experience in finance and accounting roles. Karen is currently working as a Finance Director at Bassford Remele since 2022. Previously, from 2009 to 2022, they worked as an Accounting Manager at Barnes & Thornburg LLP. Before that, they served as the Chief Financial Officer at Parsinen, Kaplan, Rosberg & Gotlieb from 2002 to 2009, and at DPS Creative from 1996 to 2002. Karen started their career at Accounting Resource Group in 1987 as an Accounting Tax Manager, where they worked until 1996.

Karen Van Buren attended the College of Saint Benedict and obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Business/Management with an emphasis in Organizational Leadership. Prior to that, they attended Orono High School for their high school education.
