Paul Cornish has extensive experience in law enforcement and planning, currently serving in a planning and enforcement role at Basildon Borough Council since June 2022, where responsibilities include conducting site visits and investigating potential planning regulation breaches. Prior to this, Paul Cornish has had a long-standing career with Essex Police since September 1985, where as a Weapons Trainer, the focus has been on delivering high-quality training to Authorised Firearms Officers, encompassing lesson planning and risk assessments. Additionally, Paul Cornish has served as an ARV Officer, gaining specialized experience in handling road incidents and serious collisions, along with a background as a frontline police officer. Educational qualifications include a Certificate of Teaching in Life Long Sector from Canterbury Christ Church University and secondary education at St John Payne RC Secondary.
