Jeff Henry is an experienced local government official and business leader. Since May 2018, Jeff has served as the Cabinet Member for Leisure, Arts, Culture & Wellbeing and Borough Councillor for Laindon Park Ward at Basildon Borough Council. Additionally, Jeff has been the Vice Chairman of the Leisure and Environment Committee and is currently a Director at Sempra Homes Ltd. As a County Councillor for Laindon Park & Fryerns at Essex County Council, Jeff chairs the Health Overview Policy & Scrutiny Committee and holds various deputy cabinet roles. Prior to their political career, Jeff managed teams in retail and optometry, including significant positions at Boots Opticians and Rosebys India Ltd., showcasing a strong background in customer service and operations management. Jeff's educational journey began at Nicholas School in Basildon and Omagh High School in Northern Ireland.
