Jeffrey Garoon has a diverse work experience, beginning with their role as a Living Collections Scuba Diver for the California Science Center in 2011. Jeffrey then worked as a Supplier Quality Engineering for Shure Incorporated in 2009. From 2011 to 2015, they held various roles at Oxy, including Completion Engineer Lead, Staff Completions Engineer, Completion Engineer, and Production/Operations Engineer. From 2015 to 2020, they were the Chief Operating Officer and President of R&D at FlowCommand. In 2020, they became the Chief Operating Officer at Carbic. Most recently, in 2021, they have held the roles of Venture Partner at Pioneer Fund and Director of Operations at basic wire and cable.

Jeffrey Garoon has a B.S Cum Laude in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Southern California. Jeffrey also has an Executive Data Science Specialization from The Johns Hopkins University and a Business and Financial Modeling Specialization from the University of Pennsylvania. Additionally, they have obtained certifications from the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Wild Well, and Dassault Systèmes, including EPA 608 Type 1 (obtained in August 2015), Well Control, Workovers (obtained in February 2015), and Solidworks CSWA (obtained in November 2010).
