Amir Haghighat has over 20 years of professional work experience. Amir began their career in 2000 as a Software Engineer at Netymology. In 2002, they were a Software Engineer Intern at MindFire, Inc. Amir then served as a Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant at UC Irvine from 2004 to 2005. In 2005, they were a Software Engineer Intern at Comarco, Inc., where they contributed to the design and development of Comarco's flagship product. From 2007 to 2011, they worked as a Software Engineer at Palm, then at Yelp from 2011 to 2012. In 2012, they were the Head Of Engineering at Gumroad. From 2016 to 2019, they were an Engineering Manager and Data Platform Software Engineer at Clover Health, and is currently a Co-founder at Baseten.

Amir Haghighat completed their Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from UC Irvine in 2004, followed by a Master of Science in Computer Science from the same institution in 2006.
