Marcus Leung is a Senior Product Scientist at Basecamp Research, bringing their expertise in metagenomics bioinformatics. Prior to this role, Marcus held positions at City University of Hong Kong and University College London, where Marcus focused on microbiome research and phenotypic and genotypic diversity of Streptococcus pneumoniae strains. With a background in molecular biology and immunology, Marcus has also worked in various research roles at BC Cancer Agency, Artron Laboratories Inc, and Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada. Their academic achievements include a Ph.D. and MPhil in Infection and Immunity from UCL, and a BSc in Microbiology and Immunology from The University of British Columbia.
