Laura Hoey brings her diverse background and experience to Bartley Healthcare as Chief Operating Officer. She started her business career as an assistant with Columbia Pictures in New York City, then later joined a law firm in Fort Lee, NJ, where she held several positions, including Office Manager (where Philip Scalo, Bartley’s CEO, was a partner). She then joined Scalo to work in an administrative capacity for an international trade show company. In 1995, she joined Bartley Healthcare as the Operations Coordinator. In 2000, she was promoted to Vice President of Operations in which capacity she managed the business operations and expansion projects for Bartley before becoming the Chief Operating Officer in 2016. As Chief Operating Officer, Hoey manages all of the business, financial and administrative operations for Bartley Healthcare. Among Hoey’s accomplishments and contributions are overseeing the expansion of service lines, data management and the development and construction of the additions to the Bartley Healthcare facilities, including construction of The Orchards at Bartley Assisted Living. She also serves as the Assistant Secretary to the Board of Directors and has been an instrumental part of Bartley’s growth, starting with her work while at the law firm on the initial development and start-up, and then continuing through all phases of Bartley Healthcare’s growth and its expanding programs. Hoey remains focused on quality and what best meets the needs of residents, patients and families.
