Bill Alpert began their career as a reporter for The Hudson Dispatch in 1981. Bill joined Barron's in 1984 and became a senior writer in 1988. Bill left Barron's to work as a research analyst for Water Street Capital in 1989, and they remained in that position until 1995.
Bill Alpert attended Princeton High School. Bill then went on to Yale University and graduated with a B.A. in American Studies. After Yale, they attended Columbia University - Graduate School of Journalism and earned their M.S. Bill then attended Columbia Law School and earned their J.D.
