Roelof van Heerden is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in project management, maintenance engineering, and EPC/EPCM execution across various sectors, including mining and water infrastructure. Currently serving as the Maintenance Manager at Barrick Gold Corporation since January 2023, Roelof previously held key roles such as EPCM Engineer for Surface Infrastructure at AngloGold Ashanti and Project Development Superintendent at Sherritt International Corporation. With a solid foundation in mechanical engineering obtained from North-West University, Roelof has successfully managed large capital projects, overseeing both engineering design and maintenance operations, and possesses significant expertise in strategic planning, contract management, and the commissioning of high-pressure systems and infrastructure.
