James Boyd has extensive experience in corporate and business development within the mining industry, currently serving as Vice President of Strategic Matters at Barrick Gold Corporation since May 2004. Boyd's roles at Barrick Gold have included Senior Director, Director, and Manager positions, demonstrating a strong background in areas such as metal, currency, and commodity trading, as well as corporate and treasury finance. Prior to this, Boyd worked as an Investment Advisor Assistant at CIBC Wood Gundy. Academic credentials include a BA in Economics/Finance from the University of Waterloo, the CFA designation from the CFA Institute, and participation in the Governance Essentials Program at the Institute of Corporate Directors.
