Brad Schwie is a Senior Geological Engineer at Barr Engineering since November 2011, specializing in the investigation and assessment of soil, groundwater, and soil gas to develop remediation and mitigation designs for VOCs, methane, and radon at both commercial and residential properties. Prior to this role, Schwie worked as a Project Engineer at AMEC Geomatrix, Inc. from September 1998 to October 2011, focusing on due diligence for agricultural chemical facilities and soil vapor intrusion assessments. Additionally, Schwie contributed to community planning initiatives for bicycle and pedestrian-friendly designs in St. Paul and Minneapolis as a team member at Bridge The Gap between 2008 and 2009. Earlier experience includes serving as a Hydrologic Technician at the United States Geological Survey from 1997 to 1998 and as CIO at Webspinners from 1996 to 1997. Brad Schwie earned a Bachelor’s degree in GeoEnvironmental Engineering from the University of Minnesota in 1998.
