Gugu Ncube CA (SA) is an experienced professional currently serving as the Head of Operational Excellence at Barloworld Limited since 2015, where leadership is provided in the implementation of the Barloworld Lean Methodology aligned with strategic group goals. Previous roles include Executive: Operational Excellence at Avis Budget, Chief Of Staff to the Group CEO at Barloworld, and Group Strategy Manager. As the founder and CEO of Ncube Investment Holdings, Gugu led a 100% black-owned company offering extensive services in finance. Leadership experience extends to the Association for the Advancement of Black Accountants of Southern Africa (ABASA), where Gugu served as President. Earlier career highlights also include a managerial role at Deloitte and various positions focused on finance and operations. Gugu holds a Master of Philosophy in Development Economics and International Development from Stellenbosch Business School, a BCompt Honours in Accounting Sciences from the University of South Africa, and a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from Rand Afrikaans University.
