Nancy Traversy began their career in 1983 with Price Waterhouse, where they received professional training. In 1986, they moved to FM Design as the Managing Director. During their time there, they acquired a design division from Richard Branson's Virgin Communications and grew sales five-fold over a three year period. Nancy also developed significant market penetration in Europe and the Far East. In 1992, they co-founded and became the CEO of Barefoot Books. Since then, they have been a Board Member of The Umbrella Community Arts Center since 2017, and a Member Board of Trustees of the Concord Museum since 2016.
Nancy Traversy attended Colonel By Secondary School from 1975 to 1978. Nancy then attended Queen's University from 1979 to 1983, where they earned a BComm in Business Administration.
