Marta Villegas is a seasoned researcher with extensive experience in language resources and natural language processing. Currently, Marta is affiliated with the Barcelona Supercomputing Center since February 2017. Prior to this role, Marta served as a Senior Researcher at the Transmediacatalonia Group at UAB - Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona from September 2015 to September 2016, where responsibilities included the generation and management of a multimodal corpus and the development of a web application for data visualization. Between 2007 and 2015, Marta worked as a Senior Researcher at Universitat Pompeu Fabra, focusing on the acquisition and management of language resources for computational linguistics. Marta's research began at Universitat de Barcelona (gilcub) from 1992 to 2002, and involvement in significant EU projects includes participation in IntelComp, a platform for AI-based policy making.
