David Kalergis is an experienced professional in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical sectors, currently serving as an S & T Grants Consultant at Bantam Communications since August 2020. Prior to this role, David was the CEO of Atelerix Life Sciences from July 2020 to July 2024, leading an early-stage biotech company focused on small molecule technologies for opioid-related medical needs. David also held the position of Chairman at Diffusion Pharmaceuticals Inc. from January 2004 to June 2021, where the focus was on developing solutions for oxygen deficiencies at the cellular level. Additionally, David served as CEO and Director of the University of Virginia Gateway from December 1998 to December 2003, enhancing collaborations between university research and the high technology business community, and was the Director of Business Development and Customer Service at Pharmaceutical Research Associates, Inc. from April 1991 to October 1998. David holds a JD from the University of Virginia School of Law, a BA in Psychology and English from the University of Virginia, and an MBA from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business.
