Melvin Yeo has a diverse work experience in various industries. Melvin is currently serving as the Chief Legal Counsel at Bannerman Energy Ltd. Prior to this, they held positions such as Trustee at Arts and Culture Trust WA and Non-Executive Director at PICA - Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts. Melvin co-founded Discovery Ventures Kazakhstan Ltd and served as a Co-Founder. Melvin also has experience working as a Legal Consultant, providing strategic legal consulting services. Melvin co-founded and served as a Board Member at Healthy Mind Menu, a mental health charity in the hospitality industry. Additionally, they held roles such as Executive Director and Co-Founder at Red Citadel Resources Pty Ltd, and Committee Member at Collectors Club Inc. Melvin Yeo has also served as the Chairman of Mn Energy Limited. Melvin was a Member of the Art Collection Board at Murdoch University for a period of time.

Melvin Yeo completed their LLB (Hons) degree at The University of Western Australia from 1992 to 1996. Melvin later pursued a Company Directors Course Diploma at the Australian Institute of Company Directors in 2007. In 2003, they obtained a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance & Investment from the Financial Services Institute of Australasia (Finsia). In 2012, they attended the In-Boardroom Workshop: The Not For Profit Board at the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
