Mike Lunacek is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in embedded software development across various industries. Currently, Mike is a Software Engineer at Banner Engineering, focusing on embedded software since February 2018. Prior to this role, Mike worked at Honeywell developing thermostat software from November 2005 to February 2018, and served as an Embedded Software Engineer at Cummins Power Generation from January 2003 to November 2005, where software for embedded generator set control systems was created. Mike also contributed to Optical Solutions as a Software Engineer, developing embedded platform software for Fiber To The Home systems from June 2000 to June 2002, and was a Principal Software Engineer at Trane for over 12 years, responsible for realtime embedded control software for HVAC products. Mike holds a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree from the University of Minnesota, having completed studies there from 1984 to 1987, and attended the University of Colorado Boulder in 1983-1984.
