Raj Gooptu is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in leveraged and acquisition finance, corporate and institutional trading, and financial markets. Currently serving as a Senior Associate in Leveraged & Acquisition Finance at the Bank of New Zealand since July 2022, Raj specializes in LBOs, MBOs, M&A, and restructuring projects. Prior to this role, Raj was a Manager for Products & Relationships at Kernel, where responsibilities included product management and institutional relationship management. Raj's background also includes significant tenure at Westpac Institutional Bank, holding various senior associate positions, where expertise was developed in risk management and bespoke hedging solutions for multinational corporations and diverse sectors.
