Darryl Fitzgerald is an experienced professional in the finance industry, currently serving as a Commercial Partner at Bank of New Zealand since January 2021, after holding roles as a Business Partner and Senior Associate. Prior to that, Darryl was with PwC from February 2017 to January 2021, where the position of Senior Associate was held. Darryl also has a background in athletics, competing as a Professional Athlete in flat water kayaking for New Zealand at the World Championships and the London Olympics from January 2009 to December 2015. Additionally, Darryl served as a Regional Supervisor for Surf Life Saving New Zealand in early 2015. Education includes a Graduate Diploma of Chartered Accounting from Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (2017-2020), a Bachelor of Business Studies in Accounting and Finance from Massey University (2013-2016), a Certificate in Mathematics from Open Polytechnic of New Zealand (2010-2011), and completion of high school at Campion College (2004-2008).
