Veeren Manikion has a strong background in the banking and financial services industry. Veeren started their career in 2006 at SBM Bank (Mauritius) Ltd, where they served as the Team Leader and Head of Ebusiness until 2020. Following this, they joined Global Primex as the Director of Business Development and Sales, a position they held until 2023. Currently, they are working at Bank of Mauritius as the Payment Systems Principal Architect.

Veeren Manikion completed their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Information Technology Project Management at UOM in 2006-2007. Prior to this, they earned a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Computer Science from the University of Mauritius from 1995 to 1998. Additionally, they achieved an Advanced Diploma in Computer Programming from the Association of Computer Professionals - UK London during the period of 1995 to 1997.
