Tim Ozugur, PhD, is an experienced information security leader currently serving as Vice President of Application Security at Bank of America since April 2022. Previously, Tim held the position of Application Security Project Manager at Verizon, where responsibilities included managing the Run-Time Application Self-Protection project and coordinating SIEM monitoring activities. Earlier experience at Nokia encompassed various roles, including Cyber Security Senior Project Manager, where strategies for risk mitigation across cloud environments were defined. Tim also managed multiple project initiatives in fixed networks for major clients, contributing to the successful deployment of advanced technologies in broadband and IPTV services. Tim’s early career included significant roles at Nortel Networks, focusing on wireless capacity engineering. Tim holds a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, alongside an MSc and BSc in Electrical Engineering from Istanbul Technical University.
