Karen Winfield is a seasoned design professional with a substantial academic and industry background. Currently serving as a Senior Lecturer in Product Design at Nottingham Trent University since September 2019, Karen previously held the position of Lecturer in Interiors at the University of Derby until July 2020. With experience in various leadership roles, including Associate Director of New Business Generation at Edge GB and Head of Design at Tesco, Karen has demonstrated expertise in design management and consultancy. Additional roles include Design Manager at both Martins and as a freelance consultant, as well as Head of Industrial Design and Human Factors at BOMBARDIER. Karen's educational qualifications include a BA (Hons) in Industrial Design from Northumbria University and attendance at Derby Art College. Furthermore, Karen has contributed to the field as a board member of the British Columbia Industrial Design Association.
