Mr. Evans is the Director of Information Technology (IT) and is responsible for Banda Group International’s IT operations. His duties included the management of BGI’s IT infrastructure, all IT resources and assets, and the implementation and oversite of the cybersecurity program to include compliance and training. He also provides oversight and direction to Managed Services Provider (MPS). Mr. Evans directs, facilitates, and coordinates IT-related operations and initiatives for all of the BGI offices located across three geographic regions.
Mr. Evans has over 30 years of IT experience providing services in both the commercial and government sectors with 13 years as a private consultant supporting local businesses with technical solutions and IT support. Over his career, Mr. Evans has held numerous positions including work as a government contractor at Department of Energy run facilities including Los Alamos National Laboratories in Los Alamos, NM; N3B in Los Alamos NM; and the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant in Carlsbad, NM. He has supported the commercial sector as a consultant for various businesses, from a multimillion-dollar construction firm to multiple small businesses. His project responsibilities have included overall site planning and implementation of site moves, network infrastructure upgrades, telephone systems deployments, implementation and management of site data backup systems, and management of data servers.
Mr. Evans successfully completed the greenfield implementation of the N3B Help Desk organization which included deploying a Help Desk system, hiring and training staff, then implementing policies and procedures to support a 600-employee organization. Mr. Evans has experience managing multimillion dollar budgets and working with IT contracts and he understands how to implement and manage multiple concurrent IT projects, stay on schedule, and manage budget constraints for a wide variety of IT projects.
