Jani Kahari

Mechanical Engineer at Baltic Yachts Oy Ab Ltd

Jani Kahari has extensive work experience in the mechanical engineering field. Jani currently works as a Mechanical Engineer at Baltic Yachts Oy Ab Ltd, where they design and develops mechanical systems for custom sailing superyachts. Jani is also leading the implementation of additive manufacturing in their projects.

Before that, Jani worked as a Development Engineer in R&D Power Tools at Mirka from 2017 to 2021. Jani was responsible for the research and development of industrial abrading tool systems and played a key role in introducing additive manufacturing techniques. Jani also managed PDM & SolidWorks administration within the division.

Prior to Mirka, Jani worked as a Mechanical Engineer at Etteplan Design Center Oy in Vaasa, mainly in the energy sector. Jani also had a summer trainee role at Etteplan earlier.

Jani gained initial experience as a 3D Engineer at Ab Core3D Oy, a start-up company specializing in design, engineering, and manufacturing using 3D printing technology.

Jani also had internships at KWH Mirka, where they gained experience in product development and using Solidworks and Solidworks Flow Simulation tools.

Jani started their career at KWH Mirka as a Warehouse Worker before transitioning to more technical roles.

Jani Kahari has a diverse education history, starting with their high school education at Topeliusgymnasiet from 2008 to 2011. Jani then pursued a Bachelor of Science (Tech) degree in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Integrated Product Development and Production at Tampere University of Technology from 2011 to 2015. In 2015, they briefly attended Keimyung University for a Master's Degree in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services. Continuing their education, Jani obtained a Master of Science (Tech) degree in Product Development, Mechanical Engineering from Tampere University of Technology from 2016 to 2019.
