Leandro Motta Barros has had a long and varied career in software engineering and development. Leandro began their professional career in 1999 as a Programmer for SKA Automação de Engenharias, where they designed and implemented AutoCAD-based applications in Visual Basic, AutoLisp and C++. In 2001, they became an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Universidade do Vale do Rio dos Sinos, where they researched crowd behaviors and real-time 3D computer graphics, and designed and implemented softwares for crowd simulation and visualization in C++ using OpenGL, POV-Ray and RTK Motion. In 2007, they became a Professor at the same university. In 2008, they held two concurrent positions, as a Developer for Hewlett-Packard and T&T Engenheiros Associados Ltda. From 2009 to 2013, they worked as a Software Developer for V3D Studios, where they developed Computer Graphics and Image Processing systems applied to a wide range of areas, including Training, Chemistry and Geosciences. From 2013 to 2021, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer and Software Engineer at SAP, where they designed and implemented a service for usage metering and rate limiting for the SAP Internet of Things platform, using Go and Redis, and designed and implemented features in the back end of web-based data management solutions, using Go. Leandro also maintained in-house testing tools in Python. Leandro currently works as a Back-end Developer for balena.
Leandro Motta Barros received their Technician degree from Fundação Escola Técnica Liberato Salzano Vieira da Cunha in 1995-1999, their Bachelor degree from Unisinos in 1999-2004, and their Master degree from Unisinos in 2005-2007 in the field of Applied Computing.
