Rahul Bhaskaruni

Staff Engineer, Machine Learning at Balbix

Rahul Bhaskaruni's work experience begins with their role as a Summer Intern at BHEL Hyderabad in 2014. In 2015, they worked as a Summer Intern at Gill Instruments Pvt. Ltd. in India. From 2016 to 2019, Rahul worked at Mu Sigma Inc., starting as a Trainee Decision Scientist and eventually becoming a Decision Scientist.

In 2020, Rahul held various positions. Firstly, they worked as a Course Development Intern at Carnegie Mellon University School of Computer Science, where they designed and developed modules for teaching data science fundamentals. Additionally, they worked as a Student Consultant at the Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry, where they predicted workplace injuries and developed a dashboard to visualize forecasting results.

Rahul also served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Carnegie Mellon University - Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy in 2020. Rahul assisted with courses in Database Management and Managing Analytics Projects.

Most recently, Rahul has been working at Balbix since 2021. Rahul started as a Senior Engineer in Machine Learning and transitioned to their current role as a Staff Engineer in Machine Learning.

Rahul Bhaskaruni completed a Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Communications Engineering at GITAM Deemed University from 2012 to 2016. Later, they pursued a Master of Information Systems Management with a focus on Business Intelligence and Data Analytics at Carnegie Mellon University from 2019 to 2020.

In addition to their formal education, Rahul has obtained several certifications to enhance their skills. Rahul obtained a Tableau Desktop Specialist certification from Tableau Software in September 2020. In March 2020, they obtained a Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I) certification from Scrum.org. Furthermore, Rahul obtained various certifications related to deep learning and machine learning from Coursera, including the Deep Learning Specialization, Sequence Models, Convolutional Neural Networks, Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization, Structuring Machine Learning Projects, Neural Networks and Deep Learning, and Machine Learning. Rahul also completed a Python for Data Science and Machine Learning Bootcamp on Udemy. Additionally, Rahul obtained a Mu Sigma Decision Scientist Certification from Mu Sigma Inc. in January 2018.
