Edward Choi has a diverse work experience, beginning in 2017 when they were a Software Developer Project Lead for Pioneers in Engineering. In 2018, they were an Academic Intern for the UC Berkeley Division of Data Sciences, a Computer Lab Assistant for the UC Berkeley College of Engineering, and a Software Engineer Intern for Lexxify Inc. In 2019, they were a Software Engineer Intern for Passfolio. In 2020, they became a Graduate/Undergraduate Researcher for UC Berkeley Electrical Engineering & Computer Sciences (EECS). In this role, they collaborated with Microsoft Research to build ThreatKG, an AI-powered platform. Edward designed and implemented a multi-threaded OSCTI report crawler framework, trained and deployed machine learning models, and built a Bidirectional LSTM-CRF neural network. Edward also lead the development of the ThreatKG UI web app. In 2022, they are set to become a Senior Software Engineer for Balbix.
Edward Choi completed their Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley in 2021. Edward then went on to pursue a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the same university, which they are expected to complete in 2022. Prior to that, they attended John A. Rowland High School from 2013 to 2017.
