Jay Bhatt, CAIA, serves as the Executive Director of Business Development and Investor Relations at Balbec Capital LP since July 2021, focusing on capital formation. Previous experience includes roles in institutional business development and investor relations at Nomura Asset Management, lead product specialist at Sound Point Capital Management, and Vice President at BlackRock, where Jay contributed to the launch of the BlackRock Credit Alpha fund and various private credit offerings. Early career positions included consultancy at Ernst & Young, with a focus on structured finance and credit risk, and a summer analyst role at Merrill Lynch in investment management. Jay holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance from The Pennsylvania State University.
